about

To celebrate decay

We are digitized now. Immortalized on the internet. Part of datasets, useful for the future.
Useful, but unchanging.
But change is what I am after.
That's why I want to celebrate decay.
Because without decay, what are we?
Are we even human?

Stories are a form of decay. Because without the passing of time, they wouldn't have any meaning.
You need to put in time to write them.
You need to put in time to read them.
You need to let time pass.

If I look at the items in my room, they all tell a story.
A story of friends and a story of hardships.

A painted wall is a beautiful white, but boring.
Decay adds detail to the wall. And lets it tell a story.
You can see how tools have been used and you can see how nature has reclaimed buildings.
And I wonder. What happened here before?

I often stare in awe to old objects and I hoard them.
I want them to be part of my story, as I use them to forge on.
I want them to be immortalized in my experience.
As fragments from far away.

about

Dan Fingerman Netherlands

I've made some music. It uses elements from video game music, webcore, breakbeats and IDM to create something original. Also, it has obviously been made by an octopus, which is a big plus. Have fun listening to it!
